Kris Bowe is an accomplished entrepreneur and respected leader in the construction industry, serving as the Owner and CEO of Blue Water Construction of SW Florida, Inc.—a premier Division 9 contractor specializing in high-quality interior and exterior finishes, including drywall, stucco, metal framing, and architectural precast.
With a vision for innovation and excellence, Kris has guided Blue Water Construction to over $450 million in revenue over the past decade, delivering award-winning projects across commercial, residential, and institutional sectors. His commitment to sustainable practices, advanced technology, and exceptional craftsmanship has built a reputation for reliability and quality, earning the trust of architects, contractors, and developers throughout the region.
Before founding Blue Water Construction, Kris spent over 15 years in construction management, honing his expertise in large-scale project delivery.
Outside of work, Kris is passionate about mentoring the next generation of trades professionals and supporting community-building initiatives.
Jeff Fickey brings over 20 years of construction experience and a three-generation passion for building to his role as Vice President of Blue Water Construction.
Born and raised on Florida’s west coast, Jeff combines hands-on expertise in Division 9 construction—including drywall, stucco, metal framing, and architectural precast—with business acumen earned through undergraduate and graduate degrees from FGCU.
A Certified Residential Contractor in Florida, Jeff played a key role in the establishment and growth of Blue Water Construction, managing projects across multiple construction sectors including commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, and institutional.
He is known for turning clients’ visions into reality while mentoring teams and driving operational excellence.
Ed Welch has been with Blue Water Construction of SW Florida since 2016, bringing more than two decades of experience in Division 9 construction, estimating, and project management. He is recognized for his ability to deliver accurate, detailed estimates and cost strategies that support successful outcomes across a wide range of commercial and residential projects.
Throughout his career, Ed has managed multimillion-dollar projects across Florida including Coconut Mall in Estero, the North R.O. Water Treatment Plant in Cape Coral, and Punta Gorda Middle School. His expertise covers metal framing, drywall, stucco, and finishes, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring teams, fostering professional growth within the organizations he served.
Before joining Blue Water Construction, Ed held leadership roles in Commercial truss design, fabrication, and operations, where he managed large teams, streamlined production processes, and introduced systems that reduced waste and lowered operating costs. He also gained valuable business management experience as the owner of a commercial and residential flooring company, strengthening his well-rounded perspective on operations and client service.
Ed studied Business Management at Edison Community College and holds certifications in Truss Design & Engineering, OSHA safety compliance, and Risk Management. Skilled in leading-edge estimating platforms such as On Center, Cut-Logic, and The Edge, he continues to drive efficiency and value for Blue Water’s clients and projects.
Chris Hill is a veteran of the Division 9 construction sector, bringing over 30 years of expertise in metal framing, drywall, stucco, and other high-quality finishes to projects across Florida, Texas, Arizona, Missouri, and Nebraska. Currently serving as Estimator/Project Manager at Blue Water Construction of SW Florida, Chris has successfully managed and delivered multi-million-dollar contracts for commercial, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and multifamily developments.
Over his career, Chris has held senior leadership roles with leading drywall and construction firms, overseeing landmark projects such as the Moody Center Arena in Austin, the Decorum Luxury Apartments in Fort Myers, Amazon Distribution facilities, and numerous major hospital expansions. His strengths include accurate cost estimating, operational management, and ensuring exceptional craftsmanship in every phase of construction.
Starting his career as a carpenter foreman after earning his journeyman card through the Carpenters Union, Chris advanced into project management and operations leadership, where he built a reputation for delivering complex, large-scale projects on time and on budget. His deep knowledge of Division 9 trades and commitment to excellence continue to set the standard for quality in the industry.
Jeff Ramsey is an accomplished estimator and project manager specializing in commercial interior and exterior drywall construction. With over 33 years of experience in the trade and a state-certified general contractor license since 2004, Jeff brings deep expertise in cost estimation, project management, and delivering successful construction projects. He is committed to excellence and believes that customer satisfaction is the cornerstone of a thriving business.
Outside of work, Jeff draws daily inspiration from his wife and four teenage sons. He enjoys coaching baseball and football, maintaining his 10-handicap on the golf course, tackling DIY projects, and exploring his passion for automobiles.
Ion is a Division 9 estimator and project manager with a decade of experience, having worked across various markets throughout the Southern United States.
He brings a specialized approach to our commercial Division, focusing on delivering accurate estimates and managing projects efficiently to optimize costs and schedules. Ion is known for building strong working relationships with clients and partners, consistently providing practical, cost-effective solutions that keep projects profitable and on track.
